This simple recipe is super healthy, filling and you only have 1 pan to clean! As we mentioned in our Movember post, antioxidants are vitally important to overall health and combating disease in both men and women. However, this dish is especially helpful in promoting prostate health in men due to the potent broccoli and tomato combo. Tomatoes are loaded with antioxidants including vitamins A, C and lycopene. Broccolli has important phytochemicals: beta-carotene, indoles, and isothiocyanates — all cancer-fighting substances. Broccoli also has phenethyl-ITC (PEITC), which is formed when the vegetables are either cut or chewed — and has been shown, in lab experiments, to kill off cancer cells. Both cooked tomatoes and cruciferous vegetables (i.e. broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage) have been shown to help prevent cancer, particularly prostate cancer. Research shows that consuming tomatoes and broccoli together has even more potent health effects. A study, published in Cancer Research, showed that prostate tumors grew much slower in rats fed both tomato and broccoli powder, compared to rats that ate either broccoli or tomato powder alone, or rats given lycopene as a supplement to their regular diet. So try incorporating that magic broccoli-tomato combo into your man’s diet for optimal health! In addition to this recipe, you could try:
-having a side of steamed broccoli with your tomato based pasta dish
-tossing broccoli into your tomato soup
-topping your pizza with broccoli

Easy way to get your kids to eat more veggies (bonus: it also has a cauliflower crust!)
Hope you give this easy recipe a try. It pairs perfectly served over a whole wheat pasta, brown rice or quinoa for a completely satisfying healthy dish that’s low-calorie, loaded with fiber and really fills you up! Use a cast iron skillet if you have one for added iron absorption into the veggies.
