Easy, healthy, apple "dessert"

  • 7 apples i used gala, but granny smith would be good also
  • 1/2 c water
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 c rolled oats
  • 2 tbs almond meal feel free to omit, if nut allergy- still great without it


  1. Peel and cut up apples into small, evenly sized pieces

  2. Turn stove to low-medium heat. Add water to pan. 

  3. Add apples and cinnamon to pan, stir frequently.

  4. Cook apples until they start to soften, about 7 minutes.

  5. Mix in oats & almond meal and continue to stir another 3-4 minutes. 

  6. Spoon mixture into ramekins or small serving bowls. 

    Option to top with toasted nuts or dollop of frozen yogurt.
